The CellSearch® Circulating Endothelial Cell Kit is designed to aid with research of circulating endothelial cells (CECs) by immunomagnetically capturing CD146-positive cells from whole blood. Endothelial cells form the inner wall of blood vessels and may shed into the bloodstream under certain circumstances including inflammation and the formation of new vasculature associated with cancer pathogenesis. These CECs may be useful in helping scientists elucidate the biological mechanisms of cancer.
